It is very important that you read this, especially if you did not attend last month. I (Erin Harness) am the “discussion leader” referenced in the first step.
Here are some lessons we learned from using this platform last month:
- Google Chrome is the recommended browser. The only person who had connectivity issues last time was also the only person not using Chrome.
- Headphones/headsets help the audio. Your headphones do not make a difference in your own audio, but they keep your microphone from picking up your speakers and creating an echo that other people have to listen to. The more people use headphones/headsets in the discussion, the better for the group.
- When you log in, you are an individual, not a group. Yes, you are joining a group, but your own log-in is just for you, so choose individual.
- When we start each video, each participant must unmute it on their own screen. The button to do this appears in the upper left.
- If you do not read that second link above, everyone will know because you will get stuck on things it explains.
